The environmental fairy-tales of Austrian artist Ulli Mirasgetis combine literature and visual arts and highlight such environmental issues in the Mediterranean as seal hunting, and the protection of sea turtles, dolphins and migratory birds. The fairy-tales are primarily geared for children and aim to raise their environmental awareness. Her paintings are characterized by simplicity of line, variety of color and prevalence of symbols as well as by her love of life, nature, and humanity.
The artists’ painting, environmental and educational work will be presented by: Athina Schina, Critic and Art Historian, Alex Marathianakis, Owner of Down Town Art Gallery, Dimitris Akrivos, Research Associate and Coordinator of Student Affairs of the Hellenic American University.
